Driving Aid to Ukraine
Michael Byrne
Thursday 30 January
7 .30 pm at Avenue House
Established charities often find it challenging to deliver assistance within conflict zones. Michael Byrne will explain how Driving Aid to Ukraine helps fill that gap. Driving Aid is a not-for-profit organization registered in the UK that helps deliver aid from the UK directly to Ukraine’s border, to Kyiv and Kharkiv, and via partners to the conflict zones and refugee centres. They have sent 26 trucks so far, part of an international, multi-team effort. Driving Aid has an established collection system across North London and South Hertfordshire for medical supplies, electrical equipment, educational equipment and general humanitarian aid.
Michael Byrne, who set up Driving Aid to Ukraine in 2022, lives in East Finchley and is a former health and social care executive director.
The meeting will take place at Avenue House, located at Stephens House and Gardens, 17 East End Road, Finchley N3 3QE. It will begin at 7.30 pm.
