The Bothy
Volunteers Needed
Terapia have been awarded funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund to restore the Victorian Grade II listed Bothy located within Stephens House and Gardens. The Bothy was conceived as a ‘Model Farm’ where Stephens explored and tested his own ideas on agricultural methods. The Bothy building has been closed to the public for the past twenty years but will be transformed into a therapeutic centre of excellence for children, young people, their parents and carers.
Terapia are looking for volunteers to help research the history of The Bothy and collect oral history interviews. The team of volunteer Heritage Researchers and Oral History Interviewers will help bring the history of The Bothy back to life, exploring and capturing local stories and memories about this unique building.
